In Short
- You can delete your One Number account and all associated data at any time, directly from within the app.
- If you can no longer access the app, email us and we will delete your account for you.
- Deletion is permanent and removes your transactions, budgets, buckets, debts, and profile.
1. Delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from within the One Number app:
- Open the One Number app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm by entering your password.
Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately and permanently. This action cannot be undone.
2. Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in to the app, you can still request deletion. Email support@onenumber.co from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete it.
To help us verify your request and locate the correct account, please send it from your registered email address. We process email deletion requests within 30 days.
3. What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove all of the data associated with it, including:
- Your profile (name and email address)
- All transactions, income, and expenses you entered or imported
- Budgets, buckets, recurring items, and debts
- Any linked-bank connection settings
- Active login sessions and security settings
Receipt images scanned in the app are never stored on our servers, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
4. Data we may retain
After deletion, in-app data is removed immediately; residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days.
We may retain a limited amount of information where we are legally required to, for example transaction records needed for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. Any such records are kept only as long as the law requires and are not used for any other purpose.
Subscription and purchase records held by the app stores (Google Play or the App Store) and our payments provider are governed by their respective policies and retention periods, which we do not control.
5. Questions
