- One Number reads your financial data — it never moves, stores, or transmits money.
- Your data belongs to you. You can export or delete it at any time.
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- All tiers sync your data to our encrypted servers so you can use One Number across your devices.
- Bank connections (Auto tier) are read-only through licensed data providers.
- You must be 18 or older to use One Number.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and One Number ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the One Number mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use One Number. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
The Service is currently available to residents of the United States only.
3. What One Number Does (and Doesn't Do)
One Number is a personal finance tracking application. It is designed to help you understand your remaining spending budget for the month by aggregating and displaying your financial information.
One Number is strictly read-only. This means:
- We never initiate, authorize, or process financial transactions on your behalf.
- We never store your bank login credentials.
- We never move, hold, or custody your money.
- Bank connections (Auto tier) are read-only and facilitated by licensed third-party data providers.
One Number is not a bank, financial advisor, or investment advisor. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
4. Service Tiers
One Number is offered in three tiers with different capabilities:
Paid tiers are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing, billing cycles, and refund eligibility are governed by the applicable store's terms. We do not process payments directly.
5. Your Account and Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any account credentials associated with the Service. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when setting up the Service.
- Not share your account access with others.
- Notify us promptly at support@onenumber.co if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Use the Service only for lawful personal finance tracking purposes.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service or its underlying systems.
6. Third-Party Data Providers
Auto tier users connect their bank accounts through Teller, a licensed financial data aggregator. By connecting a bank account, you agree to Teller's end-user terms:
Connections established through this provider are read-only. We do not initiate transactions through any third-party data provider. You may disconnect a bank connection at any time from within the app.
Plus tier users may scan receipts or screenshots using OCR. When you tap "Scan," the image is sent over HTTPS to our server and forwarded to Google Cloud Vision for text extraction. Neither we nor Google retain the image, and the extracted text is not stored on our servers.
7. Your Data
Your financial data belongs to you. We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal or financial information to third parties for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes. See our Privacy Policy for a full description of how data is collected, stored, and used.
You have the right to:
- Export your data at any time from within the app in a portable format.
- Delete your account and associated data by contacting us at support@onenumber.co.
- Disconnect any bank connection or data source at any time.
Free tier data is stored exclusively on your device. Deleting the app removes all associated data. Plus and Auto tier data stored on our servers will be deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its name, design, code, content, and features, is owned by One Number and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any part of the Service.
You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service. By using Plus or Auto tier features that sync data to our servers, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that financial data imported through the Service is accurate, complete, or current. Transaction data depends on your financial institution and third-party data providers. You should independently verify important financial information.
One Number is not a licensed financial advisor. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Decisions about your finances are entirely your own.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ONE NUMBER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $10 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us, other users, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution — will remain in effect.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
13. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
